Beyoncé gave birth to her first child, a healthy baby girl, last night in New York. Celebrity friends of superstar couple Jay-Z and Beyoncé took to Twitter to express their feelings, with Rihanna tweeting “Welcome to the world princess Carter! Love Aunty Rih”, and Beyoncé’s sister Solange tweeting “The most beautiful girl in the world.”
Jay-Z and Beyoncé have reportedly named their daughter Ivy Blue Carter, taking Jay-Z’s real surname. The couple had reportedly paid to have the whole fourth floor of New York City’s Lennox Hospital booked out for themselves only, with all windows blacked out and surveillance cameras disabled, for a cool $1.3 million!
