Music stars have swarmed the internet to congratulate Barack Obama on his US election win.
Beyoncé has lead the tributes to the President with a sneaky dig at Mitt Romney supporters.
The “Single Ladies” star popped a handwritten note on her Tumblr which simply read, “TAKE THAT MITCHES.”
Earlier in the day, Beyoncé posted a snap of herself at a polling station casting her vote for Obama, while husband, Jay-Z, showed his support at a rally in Ohio on Monday (November 5), where he performed his song “99 Problems” with the revised lyrics, “I got 99 problems but Mitt ain’t one.”
Other stars congratulating Obama on his second term include American Idol judge, Mariah Carey, who took to Twitter straight after the President’s victory speech:
INCREDIBLE SPEECH!!!!!! Watching in a room full of diverse people-all truly moved. Thank you America for President Obama-4more yrs.

Katy Perry also tweeted her support:

As did Perry’s on-off BFF, Rihanna:

Meanwhile, will.i.am promised a new song in ode to Obama’s win (God help us all):
In 2008 I wrote “its a new day” 1week before @barackobama won…and last week I wrote another victory song…it will be out in 1week
