Cee Lo Green is under police investigation after a woman claimed she was sexually assaulted by the singer.
According to TMZ, a report was recently filed to Los Angeles Police Department, accusing Green of sexual battery.
Detectives have visited a restaurant in downtown LA to question staff members, including the restaurant manager, in relation to the supposed incident.
But Green has strongly denied the allegations today (October 31).
The Voice USA mentor told TMZ that he had not been to the restaurant in question in three months, insisting “nothing ever happened there or anywhere else.”
A source close to Green added that they had “never seen Cee Lo act in a physical way toward anybody.”
This is not the first time The Lady Killer (he should have known that album title would come back to haunt him) has been in trouble with the law.
In 2001, Green was arrested after he threatened his former wife, Christian Johnson, and smashed the windows of her car.
Sigh. We hope today’s allegations are not true. Otherwise Green’s brand new Christmas album, Cee Lo’s Magic Moment, suddenly doesn’t seem like such an appropriate stocking filler…
