Daniel Craig may be considered by many as the best James Bond, but he doesn’t appear to have heard many of the classic 007 theme tunes judging by his response to Adele’s ‘Skyfall.’

For despite the fact that the title track sounds very similar to every Bond theme from the 60s & & 70s, the sixth actor to play the iconic character told Yahoo! Movies that he wept like a baby when he first heard it:

“I cried. From the opening bars I knew immediately, then the voice kicked in and it was exactly what I’d wanted from the beginning.

“It just got better and better because it fitted the movie. In fact the more of the movie we made, the more it fitted it.”

Craig can count himself in good company, as just days after Willow Smith uploaded her own stripped-back cover version of the song on YouTube, Jedward have also gone all ‘serious artist’ on us with an acoustic rendition of the track, incredibly performed without the aid of any AutoTune, that was posted on Twitter with the message:

Check out these two 007′s singing Skyfall! the names Ward! JEDWARD!

Watch their massacre, sorry unique take, on the track below:
