Fans of a certain former Nirvana drummer’s melodic hard rock outfit can breathe a little more easily now. Foo Fighters are not splitting up!
Rumours about the 11-time Grammy winners’ demise began to circulate after frontman Dave Grohl made the following statement during their Sunday night set at the Reading Festival:
“You guys realise we’ve got a lot of songs to play. It’s the last show of the tour and it’s the last show for a long time.”
However, the unofficial ‘nicest man in rock’ took to Twitter today to confirm that the Foos aren’t disbanding and that all the speculation has been based on a tiny little misunderstanding.

Grohl, Taylor Hawkins and the other three will actually reconvene as early as September 5 for a Rock The Vote event at Charlotte, North Carolina and are still scheduled to appear at a handful of festivals at the end of the same month.
