
Chuck Brown, the man credited as being the pioneer of percussive funk subgenre ‘Go-Go’, passed away today after being hospitalized with pneumonia.
Brown died in his native city of Washington D.C. where he started his career in the 60′s, eventually going on to produce the hit song ‘Bustin’ Loose’ in 1979 – which was later interpolated by The Neptunes for Nelly’s 2002 hit ‘Hot In Herre’. Check it out below:
