Kylie Minogue and Jason Donovan Kylie & Jason duet may be back on

Some encouraging news today for the fans who thought their chances of seeing Kylie & Jason ever recreating their famous duet had gone up in smoke.

The former Neighbours idols were originally scheduled to perform their iconic 1988 number one, ‘Especially For You,’ at  the PWL Hit Factory concert back in July. But after the gods decided they perhaps weren’t ready for such a feast of insanely catchy bubblegum pop, they unleashed flooding rain upon the Hyde Park venue, causing organisers to cancel at the last minute.

However, following the recent confirmation that the likes of Bananarama, Steps and Rick Astley will now perform at London’s 02 Arena on December 21 instead, the Aussie pop princess has hinted that she may finally get to join her ex co-star on stage:

“I really felt for people when it was cancelled; it was so touching, the level of excitement. I was like: ‘Oh, someone’s gone and got a bubble perm and [they] are all ready to go.

“We did the rehearsal two days before and Jason and I looked at each other and realised we had never done ['Especially For You'] live as it was released back in the mime days of Top of the Pops. We have actually done it live three times in rehearsals, but that’s it.

“They’ve revamped the show and I’ve said: ‘If I’m available, I’ll be there.’ If it doesn’t happen now, it’ll be something to look forward to. My schedule to the end of the year is making me cross-eyed – I’m all over the place.”

However, there’s still no word yet on whether The Reynolds Girls will be making an appearance too.
