Step aside Nicki Minaj – Missy Elliott’s BACK!
The Misdemeanor unveiled two new songs,“9th Inning” and “Triple Threat,” live online last night (September 17), via the website, Ustream.
You can listen to the two tracks – which have been produced by Missy Elliott’s long-time collaborator/best mate, Timbaland – by scrolling below.
Both songs mark Elliott’s first material since her 2005 album, The Cookbook.
They are lifted from the rapper’s forthcoming LP, Block Party, which Elliott has likened to “theatrical hip-hop.”
During the Ustream broadcast, Elliott explained why she took so bloomin’ long to come back to the music biz:
“We basically coming to switch music again. People are wondering what took us so long? We had to refresh our brains, come correct or don’t come at all. We had to give 110 percent and not just 50.”
