Grab your tissues, One Direction fans, as the band have just dropped a right bloody tear-jerker!
“Little Things” marks the follow-up to “Live While We’re Young,” and is the second single to be lifted from One Direction’s forthcoming album, Take Me Home.
The ballad – which may well leave you a quivering, hormonal wreck – was penned by fellow Brit star, Ed Sheeran, when he was just 17 years old.
Last week, Sheeran told Capital FM that the song features some of his favourite lyrics, like, ever:
“It’s got one of my favourite lines that I’ve ever written in a song. Harry says, ‘I know you never like the sound of your voice on tape and you never like to know how much you weigh and you still have to squeeze into your jeans but you’re perfect to me.’”
Aww (puke).
One Direction’s Niall Horan (that’s the blonde one) told Radio One’s Nick Grimshaw today (October 29) that the band were eager to get their mitts on Sheeran’s song.
Horan also teased at the track’s obligatory ‘chill’ video:
“One day he came to the studio and was like, ‘Lads, I have this song I’ve been working on for a while’. Straight away we were like, ‘This is an absolute cracker, we love it. We shot the video for it and it’s a really simple video. We just kind of sit around in a studio and act like we’re recording the song.”
Meanwhile, the other One Direction lads have took to their Twitters today to thank fans for listening to “Little Things.”
Harry Styles (that’s the one who likes cougars) tweeted:
So good to see your comments on ‘Little Things’ we’re so happy that you like it. Can’t wait for you to hear the rest of the album .xx
