Stop what you are doing! Robbie Williams has unveiled his brand new solo single, “Candy”!
Robster (can we call you that, Robster?) premiered the song on Chris Evans’ Breakfast Show on Radio 2 this morning (September 10).
“Candy” – which was co-wrote and produced by Robbie’s best mate, Gazza Barlow – is taken from the singer’s forthcoming album, Take The Crown.
Robbie said of the poptastic tuneage:
“It’s a summer song about a girl who thinks she’s great. And she might be, but she’s a bit nefarious with her ways.”
Ooh, deep!
Rob continued (you know what he’s like, never shuts up):
“Some songs take an age to write and some songs just fall out of your mouth completely formed, and you don’t have to think about it.”
“I don’t know why that fell out of my mouth and out of my brain at that particular time – it just did.”
Okay, TMI, you’re grossing us out now!
Take The Crown – Robbie’s ninth album and the follow up to the totally rubbish Reality Killed the Video Star – drops November 5.
Tomorrow (September 11) will see the on-off Take That singer kick off an “intimate tour” in Leeds in support of the album.
