Oasis vs. Blur was so last millennium. For the new millennium we now get The Wanted vs. One Direction as the two Brit boybands battle it out in the States to fly the flag for the UK.
Max George, generally regarded as “the fit one” in The Wanted, has hit out at fellow Brit singers One Direction, dismissing them by saying, “I’m not sure how well they’re actually doing yet. They’re more faces, if you know what I mean.”
The Wanted singer had good reason to scoff as his band made the Billboard top 5 with their single ‘Glad You Came’, while rivals One Direction limped in at no. 50 with ‘What Makes You Beautiful’.
